Welcome to the website of Colonel White High School - Class of 1964. Click here to add us to your favorites. For our frequent visitors, you can see the site is a continual work-in-progress being updated with new articles and pictures as submitted by our loyal classmates.

We welcome any and all '64 alumni to send us articles and pictures with a short description that you think our fellow classmates might find interesting. Many of our classmates have accomplished more than we know or could ever have imagined. Send your articles/photos to jawinkler@hotmail.com or JRowl88716@aol.com and we will post them on our very popular website.

How popular is our Class of 1964 web site? A recent web report indicates a significant amount of site activity and number of visits. In one month’s time span, we had an astounding total of 591 visitor hits. The average visitor hit per day is 19. We hope that Alumni will decide that the website is worth the investment and decide to contribute so we can keep it up and running. The total cost of maintaining the web site is approximately $350 per year. We have a very limited amount of money in our treasury and that money goes to covering our annual October Night Out and the up coming 50th Reunion. Please send donations to: JRowl88716@aol.com or dholdeman@northridgeschools.org

The CWHS Class of 1964 50th Reunion
Is being planned for you!

It won’t matter if you can walk in on your own two feet or if one of your grandchildren has to bring you. It won’t matter if you use a cane, a walker, or a wheel chair. We want you to come! SAVE the date. SAVE your nickels.

August 15 & 16, 2014

The 1964 class reunion committee has begun preliminary plans for our class’ 50th Reunion. The two most frequent requests are: keep it cheap and keep it casual. We can do both! Since we are in the initial planning stage, we welcome your suggestions. Please submit any ideas to the Reunion Committee HERE , and we will consider each one.

REUNION SURVEY: We are asking Alumni to please click on our "Reunion" page & take the 50th Reunion Survey. Follow instructions at the top. This is your Reunion and we want to hear from you!

Yes, we are also asking for money! If you want to help defray some of the initial costs and keep the ticket price lower, we will love you forever! Make your check payable to CW64 Reunion Committee, designate it for “50th Reunion,” and mail it to:

Welcome! Thanks for stopping in to take a look at YOUR Colonel White Class of ’64 web site.

There’s a spot for stories and pictures of days gone by in every section of the site. It’s full of surprises with new features continually being added and updates posted monthly.

While we are now officially “launched,” we hope this web site will always be “under construction” and what you find here will be interesting and informative. Check out the site for articles/stories, photos, videos, current news and announcements on future and past class events.

Our official Web Site www.cwhs1964.org is one of our main tools for communication. It contains the 41st Reunion photos and information about that weekend in August of 2005 that we were lucky enough to enjoy. Our yearly “October Night Out” fills the room at Marion’s Pizza with more and more attendees. Photos of our “Cougar Family” are fun to look back on year after year. Reviving memories of half-time shows, parades, band camps, and the Colonel's bus, are Jackie Winkler's current stories and photos on the "Little Colonels" page.

After a bit a research and some planning, current news about our Classmates and Alumni Biographies can be found in the “Remember/Alumni” section. Our Alumni have had a strong military presence and this section has become a place to honor them in our “Military Hall of Fame".

One of our main priorities has been to locate as many of our Alumni as possible.

A “Lost & Found” classmate’s page is posted and we would appreciate your assistance in trying to locate those for whom we have no contact information.

We cheered classmate, Dick Scott, as he rallied those who attended that final walk-through of our school, January 12, 2008. Readers can find photos and a video of Dick’s speech on the “News” page, along with regular columns by Jim Rowlands – “Historical Chronicles,” and Magda Houtz – “The Human Side.” Jim’s story, “The Night of a Thousand Laughs” will be enjoyed by those gridiron fans!

We would like to encourage you to help us in our “Construction Goal” on our
“School Daze” page. As of now, we have only a few grade school photos. We would love to have pics from ALL of the CWHS feeder schools. Teachers were a major influence for all of us and their stories are also found in the section, beginning with Virginia Lake Burroughs’s article, on Tom Bradrick.

Remember, we would like submission from you, our classmates! If you have a story or an article about yourself (including pictures) that you would like to share with us, please send it to one of us: jawinkler@hotmail.com or JRowl88716@aol.com If you have a submission; but would like one of us to help you put it together, let us know – we want that opportunity to get to know each other better. All photos & submissions will be returned upon request if sent via USPS.
